The dinner was at puerto Rico, various pizzas, one with arugula and prosciutto and with palmitos, bits of palm heart on top.
We toured the downtown and gave both a local tv avid radio interview

What a great and very full day mostly with the folks from Humbolt . A small  community, also of immigrants also with the catholic and evangelical churches across from each other on the square. We were picked up by Luis and ? And taken to a meeting with the mayor in the municipal building. Met Diego who is president of their new club and Quino a club member. We went to their historical museum full of lots of stuff from the immigrant time.
Humbolt is 3,000 people started with railroad on one end and as roads were built the city expanded on the other end. The town square is round because in the planning they forgot to include a square and so the took the corners of the blocks to make the round center. We then went to a private secondary school where the 4th grade English class was ready with questions in English. We then went to the agricultural machinery museum and looked at old tractors, including the first one built in Argentina . Then to the popular library, it is not a public library because it bets title funding from the government but the locality provides the rest. A woman leader of the volunteers for the library was there and we talked about community reads and book discussion groups. They have not large print adult books and only one Braille book. They have one full and one half time staff.
Went to Diego's  house for barbecue , most of one cow with different parts cooked over charcoal. Also lettuce, shredded cabbage ( pollo-repollo), bread. A pretty typical asado. His house is full of antiquesbthatnhis father bought from previously immigrant families in the country side.
Then to an integrated agricultural operation, where they produce balanced food for cows, milk cows, poultry pigs, dogs, cats, fish, and small crocodiles. Also the have a big poultry operation and there egg production is second in the country. The food mill uses soy, sorghum, and corn in its feed. Also the produce soy oil for export. The left over soy after oil extraction is primary protein source for the various feed products. Very specific for genetic strains of animals. They also test fodder and develop feeds for specific producers.
Then to a office furniture factory. Nice automated cutting, squaring, edging, routing and shaping, and metal bending, punching, welding, and painting.
