He has co-led thirteen mission trips to the Copan area  of Honduras where he now has many valued friends. He is very slowly restoring an historic house while enjoying both ornamental and vegetable gardening. He loves books and reading, good food and friends to eat with, and listening to and playing guitar music, especially American folk music, jazz, and blues.
